【NEW YORK】 On a beautiful weekend morning, outdoor enthusiasts equipped with light backpacks and plogging tools gathered at a popular local mountain trailhead. Members of the non-profit environmental organization “Elim Plogging” organized a special “Hiking Plogging” event to care for the trail environment.
Before starting the climb, participants warmed up with light stretches and paced themselves according to their individual fitness levels. Rather than rushing to the summit, they walked at a safe and steady pace, keeping an eye on their natural surroundings. Along the mountain path, they carefully collected discarded plastic containers, snack packaging, and aluminum cans hidden in the brush using their plogging tongs.

Boosting Cardiovascular Health and Clearing Trails: Warm Words of Encouragement from Fellow Hikers
A fellow hiker encountered near the peak shared, “Since this is a popular trail, it breaks my heart to see litter along the path. Seeing volunteers cheerfully cleaning up the trail as they climb makes me feel truly grateful.”
A representative from Elim Plogging noted, “Hiking plogging combines the cardiovascular benefits of mountain trekking with the flexibility training of picking up waste, offering a full-body wellness experience. We will continue to build a sustainable hiking culture where we preserve the fresh air and beautiful trails with our own hands.”
